Already on the plane we hear how the language changes in passionate words filled with vowel sounds. You notice how people's facial features have changed a few minutes ago that you went around in Holland. Once you put your foot in Rome, you feel the history around you. Subways speed to keep up the structures that are already rooted foundations for years before Christ. The smell of pizza and pasta hanging around while bustling Mercedes Smart Cars in ample zoom and compete over who can park in the smallest possible space. All over the city are museums with masterpieces of celebrities such as Michelangelo and Bernini, and those who never their names were written down in the art archives, leave their own graffiti artwork on walls and thereby contributing to the modern tell bell art that is part of this unique city.
So I come to with a heavy backpack in Via Ferrucio and stood in front of number 27, which I soon afgeskribbel in Holland. The thick rusty bars are anything but welcoming, and not what I expected when we "Little Italy" booked it. There is not even a door bell in sight. European sun begins 8 pm to bag and see no way of sleeping on the horizon tell bell tonight. What should I do? I sent an SMS to Elreza in England and begged her to call the owner to open the door. Now comes the time to pray. Who received if she does the SMS? I get to number 25 and ring the bell. A friendly Italian nun opened the door and looked me in astonishment. She does not know where Little Italy is not, and greet friendly with "I hope you find destination, God bless." No, God bless you lady, because I have now really a smile needed. Moments later beeps Elreza in my pocket. She gave Rene got hold of, and here comes the owner of No. 30 walked. Apparently I looked for no 27 in the no 30 building. Yeah, it's always important to write down the address properly.
Little Italy is a B & B on the 4th floor of an ordinary living area of the local people in Rome. When you walk back to your room and looked out the window to the other side geelgeverfde walls, you see how Italians hang clothes, watering plants, and the sound of a laughing woman can be heard here and there. Even find a heated argument takes on floor 2. Probably because tell bell Luigi was late for dinner. I put my stuff down and check out the stylish photos of Paris that the whole wall volhang and wondering why I was in the Eiffel Tower vasstaar in a place called 'Little Italy'. Soon I was sitting quietly on the bed while the aroma of Italian dinner by pulling the window. Moments later I get up on the sofa, and the next morning in the same position.
Early morning after breakfast, tell bell I decided to tackle foot in Rome. Armed with a water bottle, map and camera, I walk south-west, and come in a beautiful park. The sky is bluer than I have ever seen, and put the enormous trees buckets of fresh oxygen down on you while you are in their step. For me, a huge tree and the branches hung low. I walk very onverwagtend under the branch and standing in front of me? The Coliseum in all its glory! I just get right back goosebumps just to tell you about it again. More than 20 years ago, a young boy sitting tell bell in his mining town-school and learned of the Romans, and this structure and today I stand for it - overwhelmed with emotions. I close my eyes for a second and saw in my imagination how carts and Gladiators to the huge building move. I feel the spirit opgeruime of people queues before a lion fight and look again, I realize how little I actually am in this world.
Eight hours later want my legs no longer walk. I walked through the most amazing places and Italy have already been flung me into her addictive hold. There is no way out. Experience. Experience. Be part of it. You walk past neighborhoods where an Italian mama a doorbell rang. Suddenly pick someone on the 5th floor window and greet with a "Ciao!". The woman under greeting friendly back and for the next few seconds flow the company between them. Moments later cross even a curious head from another window and then another from the 7th floor. Now talk all the women just to the one below and laugh. It was the Rome that I fall in love. People tell bell who are passionate about their cars, women, food, language tell bell ... everything.
After a delicious dinner, I walk quietly on the "cobblestone road" and look for more places to see.
