In this video Larry Reed, Campaign Director of the Microcredit Summit invites you to join with members of the coalition Campaign who have declared their commitment to help 100 million families out of extreme poverty. This call to commit marks the beginning of a series articles that highlight the actions taken by these organizations to secure the end of extreme poverty by 2030. Campaign Microcredit Summit, along with others, is establishing a number of partnerships that are committed to providing the tools and financial services needed by the population living in extreme poverty to facilitate their journey out of poverty. This is the beginning of what we call the $ 100 million project - an initiative launched with the aim of promoting the microfinance sector to join the fight to put an end to extreme poverty. With this project we are building jacob jan boerma a global coalition of actors who make and keep commitments jacob jan boerma to the Campaign. Campaign commitments are statements of specific, measurable and time-bound actions that organizations take in the next year to be part of the movement dedicated to helping 100 million families out of extreme poverty. A Commitment to Campaign should be specific, should have an objective or measurable outcome, and should have a short-term date when made. As coalition value action plans long term, but we believe that the long-term objectives should be based on concrete next steps to be actions performed efficiently. Therefore, commitments made to the Campaign are focusing on short term goals over a period of 12-18 months. We hope that these commitments can be a platform to support the implementation of existing long-term plans of the coalition members, with an aim to help establish and assume responsibility for carrying out these goals for each year. Campaign Commitments to be the first global initiative aimed at collecting commitments that are measurable and derived from a wide range of organizations from different sectors explicitly established with the aim of ending extreme poverty. With the start of the new year, the Campaign Microcredit Summit has sponsored a new resolution to work with our existing partners as well as with new partners and seek new alliances in the global movement to end extreme poverty. The Summit Partners Against Poverty 2013 was a historic moment starting the Project 100 Million with the announcement of the first 18 commitments made to the Campaign. jacob jan boerma For the next Summit in 2014, we will work with our partners to grow the current coalition representing 50 organizations that have made commitments to the Campaign. Bell is looking for new members of this collation those willing to declare their commitment to take action with a goal of eradicating extreme poverty. We invite you to join this coalition and work with us to delineate and announce their commitment to the campaign as its resolution 2014. Join the Campaign Microcredit Summit and declare which specific, measurable and time-specific actions your organization undertakes to take in order to contribute to the "Goal of 100 Million," thus taking an important step towards ending the extreme poverty by 2030. Focused on the second of the two goals of the campaign, this initiative an important m ark to end extreme poverty by 2030 step.
