Short Hills, NJ – The thieves who shot and killed a NJ lawyer in front of his wife during a carjacking might be part of a crime ring that has been targeting the tri-state areas, law enforcement officials stated Monday.
According to The New York Post (http://bit.ly/1gC62ky) Dustin Friedland, 30, of Hoboken was confronted by two men at about 9:10 p.m. Sunday night on the third level of a parking garage located outside of The Mall at Short Hills in Millburn. Friedland was just about to enter his 2012 Range Rover when he was shot in the head.
The law-enforcement source said he was not surprised that the perps ditched the car as, there was too much heat on it, further adding that it is rare for a carjacking to end with shots fired and killing someone. This is a violent crew.
