August paul byrons 26, 2013 No Pain, No Gain and somewhat clueless Marky Mark, The Rock, Anthony Mackie and Michael Bay have an absurd (and real) story about ambition, money and people losing toe
Michael Bay movies are complicated to analyze. In theory, they would be the simplest, since it is enough to say that the acting is half-assed, the absurdity factor is immense and the explosions are spectacular. But, occasionally, the director manages to do something a little different from the usual "Explosions paul byrons and world being saved." It's rare, but it happens. And No Pain, No Gain is a good example of how Michael Bay is out as director of actors, instead of yelling "action" to see things blown up, may love and leave with a hot Ferrari.
The film (which has an incredibly awful title that is a good translation of the original, paul byrons Pain & Gain) tells the true story of three gym rats who decide to kidnap and steal all the money from a millionaire unbearable. The well thought is that the subject's entire fortune is passed paul byrons to them without major legal impediments, as they force you to sign the paperwork and pass everything to their names. When the guy recognizes one academy, the shit starts to happen.
Note that, even as it is a true story, the potential exists for a beautiful drama, only that we are talking about a Michael Bay movie, so the film is very much a comedy with action and absurd situations than anything else. Marky Mark, the Falcon and ROCK
No Pain, No Gain is safe at three points: Daniel Lugo (played by Mark Wahlberg), Adrian Doorbal (played by Anthony Mackie, who will be the Falcon paul byrons in Captain America 2: The Soldier Wintry) and Paul Doyle (played by Dwayne "The Rock "Johnson). If one of these points fail, the movie would be unbearable within the first minute. Only they can pass well the feeling that they have no idea what they are doing, leaving paul byrons the absurd and funny situation, although, in fact, everything is horrible and execrable.
The main character in No Pain, No Gain is for sure, Daniel Lugo. He works in a gym, could be rogue enough to become someone inside that little world, but he wants more. Already fucked before paul byrons by some scams, but sees into a millionaire (played paul byrons by Tony Shalhoub) a chance to do well in life and achieve your place in the sun.
For that, he joins two guys (Doorbal and Doyle) that will help you. Although all are well in roles that everyone expects, the highest point of the trio is the Rock. Yeah, he can not work incredibly well, but enough so we can call it acting. Doyle him is a guy who was arrested and found Jesus in prison, becoming a fervent Christian. Because of that, the way he acts and reacts paul byrons to all violence who are about to commit ends up being more interesting than the stories of two other characters. You take all the millions of Michael Bay, but did not detract from the guy blasts
Like I said up there, No Pain, No Gain could be a much more serious film, just try to tell the story. Except that Michael Bay decided to tell all in a semi-comical way, which is good to a point. By addressing the absurd situations in a way that makes fun of the inexperience of those involved, possibly exaggerating some parts, paul byrons the director also took the weight of their actions.
We are talking about people who kidnap someone, torture him, steal everything he has and try to assassinate him. Still, by presenting the characters as real pumped bunglers, you involuntarily think the lighter actions really are. When things start to go wrong for them, you find yourself in a position paul byrons where you can not get involved with any character, since the film, which spent the first half turning the trio into characters accompanying you and forgives, turns into something completely different.
This is the very choice of Michael Bay and the film's screenplay. Miguelzinho paul byrons Bay for the first time in many years, there had pornographically large budget to make the film, which, at times, gives the sensation of the first Bad Boys. VERY MILD, but passes. paul byrons
After watching No Pain, No Gain, it is impossible not to give some research on the internet about the story that inspired the film. With few clicks, you can see that Michael Bay really gave a relieved in all and took some liberties with the plot, which contained much more sordid details of the characters and events.
Because of this, it is easy to see that Michael Bay did not so much tell a real story, but yes, entertain the public with an absurd plot that, incidentally, is based on real events. Is that bad? No, but I can not help but think that No Pain, No Gain could be a much better movie than it really is.
